Nice one of those sometimes-ignored endcabs, Sid – agreed it did have a vaguely BLW appearance w/the lack of louvred hood access doors and raised forward cab windows pair looking-over the hood’s top. “Beefed-up” frame added-to the rebuilt appearance – and retaining the IC/ICG white-over-orange scheme was a further enhancement. One thing Paducah did not do w/those reconditioned SW’s was install the distinctive raised “frog-eyes” running lights housings as-found on their early “GP-8”/“GP-10” models’ low nose fronts. All-in-all a fine action-roster shot w/the crewmen catching a breeze on a likely very warm and humid late spring day some 15 mi. upstream (E) from the Tennessee River’s confluence w/the Ohio near the Bluegrass State’s W end.
