Just sitting here wondering how many cinders line the hill and how many thousands of trips have been made by a Reading steam locomotive over the years. Nice capture.

This particular part of the line is former CNJ track, so maybe only 2102... but it is possible Reading engines ran on this line before, but in general, many of locomotives made this same march up Hometown Hill.

Way to ruin a good thought with facts. Lol. I was actually wondering that when I was typing my initial post. That's good to know. I am going to amend my observation to "I wonder how many cinders line the hill from everyone's steam engines over the years." Thanks for the history lesson.

You're welcome lol. Thankfully we have 2102 and soon 425 again to carry on with making lots of smoke and noise on this grade.
