At the same time as I personally dislike cold and snow, there has long been a sense that trains look good in snow. Specific definition of why they do still eludes me, but trains do look good in snow, running in it, passing through after it, tossing drifts of it aside with plows, they just plain look good doing their normal train things in snow environments.
