Sweden is standard gauge 1435 mm / 4' 8 1/2" while Finland is 1524 mm / 5'. How was this move made possible? Thank you. (https://jakubmarian.com/track-gauge-by-country-in-europe/)

Good question Peter and there is an easy explanation! In fact the bogies of the coaches have been changed from the Swedish 1435 mm ones to Finnish 1524 mm equivalents with the help of a heavy-duty crane in the border stion of Haaparanda. The original bogies are then carried on a separate flatbed wagons that can be found on the back of the train.
