Bradley, this train picked up RF&P 101 from the Shenandoah Valley Railroad interchange south of town, and had some switching to do when they got back to the yard. Instead of running around 101, the crew decided to just have it lead to make it easier.

Thanks for the explanation. Where did the Geep come from? A museum? And was it operating? Seems a GP-7 leading a class 1 train for any distance is a big deal in 2025!

The GP7 came from Staunton where Precision Locomotive Leasing & Repairs was doing some maintenance on it. The motor was supposed to be dead in tow, so it was not actually running, they just pushed it with the NS motor.
