The tracks on the left side of the photo are that of the CSX KD Subdivision (Corbin, KY to Etowah, TN). Those same tracks go past my home a few miles north of LaFollette, TN about 50 miles away. It is nice sitting in your backyard watching the trains go by usually in Notch 8 if heading north. The smell of burnt diesel fuel sure does permeate the air when they do. Also, about a half mile west of this photo location is where the CSX and Norfolk Southern cross almost under the Alcoa Highway bridge. You get the best of both worlds there watching trains.
