I went to the conductor training school with a guy from Minot. He said they have a sign when you enter the town that says "40 Below Keeps the Riff-Raff Out."

Seeing that rusty steel underneath the peeling paint makes me think, " I wonder what these would have looked like painted in CB&Q?"
