Doubt this is the Gulf Wind. Schedules from both the late 1940s and early 1970s show the train stopping at Pensacola during the middle of the night. More likely this is a mail train with rider coach operated jointly by the L&N and Seaboard.

Well , I dont know the specifics but the info is just fine as is this great looking FP-7 ready to kick up some dust on a pretty route I am sure. Long live the 652. This buds for you. Great photo Roger. You know what sometimes I look at a photo of a old engine and think of the places it has ben and the many storms and situations us humans have put the loco in and wonder whose really loco. The style here really is perfect.
