After waiting for a few northbound trains to pass, BNSF 7695 (the Golden Swoosh) accelerates out of Ferndale, WA leading a southbound empty oil train on December 14th, 2021.
On an early summer morning, BNSF #6260 sets out tanker cars at BNSF's Elliott Yard from a Cherry Point bound oil train.

It was a rare event seeing SP power on the Bellingham Sub. The Ferndale Turn always had interesting power lashups.
Ex-SPS C424 and an ex-GN F7B unit and a SP GP35 make for a most unusual lashup. The Ferndale Turn always the most interesting train of the day.
It appears we're headed for a cornfield meet. The Cherry Pt. Turn is hanging back just far enough for the Ferndale Turn to make a few switch moves from the Ferndale siding.
