A 50 car coal train from SWP Bullskin Mine near Connellsville heads north on the ex B&O Pittsburgh & Western sub at Glenshaw Tunnel. It's great to see a "real" train on this twisty, scenic line!
Not much fall color above the tunnel, but the vibrant paint on the 2004 helps to brighten up a dreary autumn day.
This ex-SP switcher leads two other units north to interchange with the Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad. Thanks to George Neat for his assistance!
One of the first AVR trains to use the ex-CSX P&W Sub north of Pittsburgh exits the Glenshaw Tunnel. The crew was aware that we were going to flash them coming out of the tunnel. :)
