Dead and Gone. A pair of semaphores continue to stand, although devoid of most of their components, on the ex-Monon CSX Hoosier Subdivision in Hitchcock, awaiting a train that will never come.
Southbound CSX Q687 with its usual UP power is about to split the semaphores at Hitchcock as it makes its way down the former Monon. This part of the Monon has now been rail banked since 2009.
