This morning, I ran out to Lawrence, KS where I photographed the UP 2002 heading around Don Ball Curve in charge of the MTPNS.

SP 8004 leads a freight past the Lawrence, KS depot in June of 1989.

A short local eases by the beautiful UP passenger station, currently in use as a tourist information center, at a location nicknamed "Don Ball Curve".

With a brief whistle stop in Lawrence complete, #844 has its short consist well in hand hammering out of town with UP Train PFBKC2 15 at Turkey Creek on the UP Kansas Sub. towards KC.

Union Pacific 844 accelerates out of a display/servicing stop at Lawrence, Kansas. The locomotive is on the last leg of a Marysville-Kansas City trip, part of a larger Cheyenne-Memphis trip.

The local has their power tied up on the old freight house trackage hiding in the weeds below the towering grain silos near the Lawrence depot.
