After recrewing in Portage, CP 581 is already up to 60mph in it's attempt to outrun Amtrak 7 only 30 miles behind it.
After meeting 2470-23 and Amtrak 8, CP 483 (Portage - La Crosse Way Freight) will resume it's journey west to Oakdale to spot all 46 empties and possibly a pick up.

SOO Line power has the honors of handling a grain train east towards Portage. Once the train gets to Portage, a new crew will get on, and the train will resume its journey towards Chicago.
