NS's daily Saratoga, NY - Harrisburg, PA manifest, running on CP/D&H as 930, passes through the fall colors at CP 590. NS's geometry train is tucked in behind the six axle power.

A helper set has finished a push and waits to return to Binghamton. As I recall these were the very first U-23Bs. Note the short "wings", indicative of the very early production units.
