CN 5413 head's westbound through the small town of Seward, IL on a calm and cool summer night.

After making a set-out at Freeport, M338 heads east to meet M33791 at Seward.

An extra Eastbound from Freeport to Hawthorne pulls into the siding at Seward where it will meet a Westbound train. As far as I know, this is the first time an EJ&E has led on the Freeport Sub.

This ex-CNW unit is still used by the elevator at Seward to load grain trains. This unit originally came to C&NW from Precision National in February 1981 as an ex-CRI&P unit. This high nose unit ... (more)

After discovering this unit on RP, I just had to see it for myself. It looked good basking in the late day sun, just off the CN main in Seward.
