ALCO Safari Day 5, LA&L: After having picked up empties from Barilla in Avon, the road train continues towards Rochester. ALCO C430 #433 started life as New York Central 2056 in 11/1967.
My friend called me to say he saw LAL entering the R&S Brooks Avenue Yard with the 420 leading. I have always wanted this shot over the pond, so I waited here for them to go South in the evening.

With sister road WNY&P leading, the daily LA&L road freight heads north to Rochester with a decent sized train for interchange to CSX and R&S.
