Former Black Hills Power & Light No. 1 has been at Hill City since 1983 providing back-up power; GP9 No. 63 arrived a week ago from Progressive Rail in Minnesota (it had to be trucked in).
This is another example of the standard center-cab 80 ton locomotive used on short line and industrial sites throughout North America.
