When you're moving unit coal and all you have are 1500HP units it takes a lot of them.
Nice paint scheme and they usually kept them pretty clean.
Back when AN was prospering they had three of these. This unit now listed as Chattahoochee Industrial.

Apalachicola Northern power at Port St. Joe in March 1988 preparing to head north.
Short line with long name. On a restful Sunday all three of AN EMD GP15T are tied up at Port St. Joe, Fla. They are the newest motive power on the 96-mile line, owned by St. Joe Paper Co.
Back in more prosperous days, this unit was looking good but was probably already surplus as the caps on the stacks would suggest. Already there was a bunch of newer EMD products on the property.

Well equipped and in one of the finest simple classic looking paint schemes around.
These are Ts but are unique to AN because unlike CSX Ts these have no D/B and no centrifugal air filtering.
Can we call this a "Butthead Bonanza" looking good and sounding great with an inbound coal train.
Nice paint job for a really good shortline.
This AN locomotive seen here pulling a cut of boxcars is one, if not the only one in this model left in the AN paint scheme.
