SZU commuter train on its way up to the Uetliberg, 871 meter above Sea level. It's the steepest Mountain Railway in Europe without gearwheeling. Current is 1200 Volt DC.
A brand new Electric Multiple Unit complete with bow decal sits silently adjacent to the platform at Gare De L'Est. This train entered revenue service later on that day.
