BNSF 1760 heads to the Denver Yard for a day of sorting freight cars.

Although looking a bit tired, this SD40-2 which was built in 1981 for the AT&SF still retains its Bluebonnet paint.

BNSF's Pikes Peak Local was passing the old station of Acequia with four auto racks for the new Big Lift Auto facility a mile ahead in the area's first real snowfall of the season.

Bluebonnet 1760 has the honors of running on point for the day while sorting freight cars in the Denver Yard.

A couple veteran SD40-2's, representing 75 years of combined service, still work hard sorting freight cars in the Denver Yard.

A matched set of Santa Fe SD40-2 locomotives do the honors of pulling the second shift “hill cut” as they prepare to depart the former Santa Fe yard and work the Evraz mill south of here.

Even after its most recent repainting in August of 1990, the vibrant billboard letting of Santa Fe painted on the long hood of this SD40-2 still stands out quite nicely against the rusting effects... (more)

A lone SD40-2 is all that’s required to work a few customers east of downtown Pueblo as the Y-PUE201 is seen coming back into the yard running a respectable long hood forward.

Resting this Saturday in one of the spur tracks of the former Santa Fe classification yard in Pueblo, the 1760 idles away with another SD40-2 but of the Remote Controlled variety.
