CNW 6723,6716,6720 roll east near Macfarland on a sunny fall afternoon. The big Alcos had quite a few more years of ore service in their future and did not get laid up until Dec. of 1986.

CNW 6723,6716,6720 work eastbound with 109 loads of Empire ore heading to the dock in Escanaba. All three Alco's look to have been washed fairly recently.
