CP 9740 and SOO 6037 lead CP train 223 as they begin their trip west to Winnipeg, breaking the mid-day silence in Palgrave. It sure was a nice treat to see the SOO trailing!

Westbound autorack/intermodal, lead by 9740, makes it's way around the loop and up the grade at Notch Hill.

An eastbound 95 car manifest takes the hog backs east of Marathon passing "The Birch Tree". "The pine cones and birch bark are just ahead."
