Two former Conrail units bring 297 west, passing underneath the Liberty and Panhandle bridges.
The Conrail-painted C40-8W is a dying breed, and one of the remaining survivors leads manifest Q303 along the New River at Hawks Nest.
This may be perhaps the last Conrail painted CSX owned Dash 8 leading a train I shot. They're almost all gone now.

Q139 seen here hitting the triple diamond (UP, CSX, IHB) at Dolton. Supposedly, this busy interlocking can see over 120 trains a day.
