Twin Baldwin cab units are hauling the Slate Picker under route 30 on the return to Whitehall, NY. 30 minutes earlier the crew picked up interchange cars from the G&J at Salem, NY.
Today we see class 1 railroads making public relations investments in heritage paint schemes and classic steam locomotives. However, it's hard to imagine the business case for the D&H to purchase... (more)
I was never able to see these operate but I did catch one sunning itself outside the E&LS shop complex while there on business. The two Baldwin RF-16 Sharks are still there from what I understand.... (more)
