ELS 1223 stops to pick up a switch list at the Ontonagon, MI depot in July of 2000. Unfortunately, this line is no longer in service and the tracks are gone.
ELS crosses US Hwy 45 between Rockland and Ontonagon, MI in July of 2000. The main source of revenue on this line was a large mill in Ontonagon. The mill has since closed and the line ripped up.
ELS 1223 has just arrived at Ontonagon, MI in July of 2000. Soon it will be switching the large paper mill in town. Unfortunately, the mill closed and much of this line has been torn up.

ELS 1223 leads a freight thru Rockland, MI on its way to Ontonogan, MI in July of 2000. The closing of the paper mill doomed this line and the rail has now been pulled up at this location.
