Passing one of the few remaining single track sections on the Sunset Route in CA, UP 3071 nears the west end of Mortmar siding as it races west leading the KG4LB.

Working it's way up the east side of Beaumont Pass, UP 3071 is down on it's knees as it struggles upgrade leading a long KG4LB at Cabazon.
