Union Pacific coal trains have been stranded for several days in Sharon Springs, Kansas, after a 32-inch snowstorm combined with high winds on December 29-30 buried the town in white stuff.

The yamaka like GPS dome atop the cab really sticks out on this view of UP 6653 passing through the bridges of Blue Island.
UP 6653 leads the same coal train that I photographed a week ago back to the mines this time with 6727 in the rear.
