Early morning along the ex SP Coast Line finds the loaded oil cans pass through the rich agricultural farming community of Somis as they make progress towards there destination of Doloras.
An eastbound UP pushes hard up main #2 as the normal route, main #1, is down for maintenance. This train required two helpers from BNSF to make the grade. BNSF gave them two dash 9's to help out.
New UP SD70ACe 8352 and another unit lead a westbound doublestack train on former SP rails, with fresh snow on the San Gabriel mountains in the background.
