NS train 214 passes the former CNJ's Phillipsburg Union Station, now home to the New Jersey Transportation Heritage Center.

Two visitors from the west lead NS 214 east over the South Branch of the Raritan River at Hamden.

UP 9377 races through the Louisiana woods, easily making train speed. In a few minutes, however, the fast ride will be over as the dispatcher stabs the train because of traffic around Shreveport.

With the sun low in the Louisiana sky, UP 9377 and NS 3183 are reflected in a small pond as they back their train into Sibley siding.

UP 9377 blasts out of the Alabama woods as it leads an NS manifest southward to Meridian, MS and the Kansas City Southern interchange.

Last shot of the day was definitely the best. UP 9377 backs the train into the siding on the other side of this bridge.
