V500 is now pointing east on the former B&O Springfield line, which it will use to its junction with the C&ED Sub at Hillsdale, IN, then proceed the last few miles to Duke Energy's Cayuga plant.
Having completed the Chrisman Shuffle, V500 eases out of town.
V500 passes the ancient B&O state line marker, moving from Illinois into Indiana. This train is the only one that uses this portion of the old B&O to Springfield, and runs very sporadically.
