While waiting for the historic run of UPs 4014... 2 AHs sandwich an AC44 on the westbound M-PRCB in Wheaton, IL.
On a warm Spring afternoon, UP #7443, a GEVO repainted with Letters instead of Flags, Crawls to a stop right outside of the Metra Station.
Blasting through the small town of Ashton, blaring its K5LLA, UP 8810 leads UP 2200 a SD60 and Dakota and Iowa 2502 a GP9u. A faint rainbow can be seen in the distance.
UP 4117 leads a manifest bound for Council Bluffs onto the left-hand main as it departs the Proviso Yard.
A very nicely timed meet occurs right at 5th Street with the end of a monster stack train, and the headend of M-PRCB. PRCB was the train we had been waiting for, with UP 3078 third id the consist.... (more)

Third westbound of the parade cruises in the the setting westward sun, as it nips at the heels of another WB manifest. Nice to see a ACe/90Mac pair in such great light.
Nearing sunset a westbound UP train with five SD70M's gets an approach signal to proceed toward Clinton.
Five UP SD70M's along with the Olympic 2002 tucked in the middle lead a westbound manifest freight through the farmlands of northwestern Illinois.
The Council Bluffs manifest crosses the Mississippi River at Clinton.
Leaving the crew change in Clinton behind, the M-PRCB, with a former C&NW SD40-2 in charge, heads west into Iowa. An eastbound coal load with a DPU is just arriving in town.
