UP Z train crossing Trinity River

A reliable find in the afternoons is the intermodal transfer from the Norfolk Southern to the UP. Here NS 225 has changed hands and become UP ZNSLC with NS engine 8780 out front.

A big and boxy ACe unit, UP 8430, heads west with intermodal train ZNSLC as it passes under the signals at CN Junction.

Traffic didn't pick up until late this evening. Glad to catch what I did.

Timing is everything. The end of this BNSF pig rounded the corner just as the head end of the UP pig came around.

I knew I had to grab this one. It just looked too good not to snap it.

BNSF GE leads a Union Pacific Z train

Heading into the late afternoon sun ZNSLC 26 crosses the BNSF Thayer South Sub at Bridge Junction in West Memphis, Arkansas.

UP's ZNSLC 26 rolls under the newly erected BNSF signal bridge as a manifest trains comes into town heading east.

UP's ZNSLC heads west on the Memphis Sub past the newly built signals over the tracks of BNSF's Thayer South Sub near Kentucky Street.

With an empty coal train from Palos AL. waiting in the background UP 4628 leads a westbound intermodal towards the Mississippi River bridge.

Having transfered from the NS, UP 4008 looks in need of a bath, compared to its' counterparts, as it leads the ZNSLC westbound on the NS East Main through KC Junction.

A UP intermodal train heads west on Broadway as a BNSF intermodal is stopped at the CN crossing.
