Freight Trains Count Down 15 Days. Sure this train at platform 4 is bound for Hung Hom, but not for passengers! A typical platform shot.
Two EMDs face to face running for VF08 with Long Hood Forward, accelerating through this rare peaceful country side along the East Rail.
Two low hood units facing each other while heading the mail coach to Hung Hom. This will be one of my LAST shot of freight train as all frieights will be cancel within few weeks.
All lights on at both hood ends ! Cool MTR 56 passes Tai Po Market station with a 2 minutes gap between the latter EMU.
Good old MTR 56 pulling some other stuffs other than just a mail coach for the VF08. It should be a good news.
Train crew ignores the speed limit through the double S curves at MTR University Station as the train is running an hour late. Nice to see I.B. Trevor in lead.
Every times I visit this location, I shot EMD G26CU. However this is the first time I shot with sun light and my Canon EOS 40D.
I love taking this kind of shots but I hate EMU blocked me all the times and make me even cannot see what locomotive is heading!! Lucky this time the EMU departs just at the right time!!
MTR Freight VF08 just departed Lo Wu Yard and begins its 40 minutes journey to Hung Hom Yard. Glad to see the recent refurbished MTR 62 in Long Hood Forward.
Short hood forward with short freight train is ... strange !
MTR VF08 approachs with the 2 most recent refurbished EMDs running Long Hood Forward.
Long hood forward MTR 58 smokes it up as it ascends from Sheung Shui to Fanling Station. Smoke can be seen at the left hand side of the photo. Background is residential buildings in Sheung Shui.
Wide angle shot of a long hood forward EMD G26CU.
X908 just before Summer high sun month . Please look at the cab side for the new MTR logo . Orginally there was a KCR logo .
After 2 days of 30min early , VF08 returns to 30min late today with 2 EMDs heading .
