The setting sun glints off the power on a Southern Pacific eastbound at Walnut, California, on October 18th, 1980. Power for this train is SD40R 7302 (ex-SD40 8422), SD40T-2 8517, GP40-2 7616 and U33C 8701 - The wide variety of power such as this on one train is what made the "Espee" such a favorite with railfans.
