Remarks & Notes
Just days after being unloaded off a ship from Europe at Houston, Southern Pacific's second generation German Krauss-Maffei diesel hydraulic 9005 is paired up with an F-7 at Eugene, Oregon roundhouse as two other F's flank the new brute on March 28, 1964. Note the low-slung headlight, and that access to the cab is through a door under the windshield. Unfortunately the K-M's had a very short lifespan of hardly four years.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.

Do you ever get the feeling as a model railroader, that you just might be creating something not "prototypical?" Same here.
