Remarks & Notes
The December '13' date was certainly not lucky for the Thursday morning arrival of New England Central local train 601 into the White River Junction yard. The NECR GP38 3857 picked the switch from the WRJ siding into one of the yard tracks, landing the locomotive in the ballast. The 30+ trailing cars and a Vermont Railway locomotive on the opposite end were not derailed and no injuries resulted.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
