Following a night of heavy rains, the crew of the final NS T51 makes its ascent from the Elk Fork Creek trestle to the siding at Mt. Zion. Due to issues with breaks on an EMD switcher retrieved from Winchester Grain the night before, the crew was forced to tie ES40DC #7632 down for the night in Winchester leaving the rest of the train at the siding here. Maintenance from Portsmouth were able to get things going the next morning and the crews first move was East, long hood forward to retrieve the train. Several aspects of the Peavine are evident here such as the bagged CPL's, visible grade, and the jointed siding.
