EMD's F45s were brutish-looking diesels, thanks to the cowl carbody design. Found on September 20th, 1997, at Schiller Park, IL, is Wisconsin Central F45 6654. Built in June 1968 as Santa Fe 1915, this engine would later become Santa Fe 5915 and then Santa Fe 5965, before being sold to the WC. From this angle, the distinctive rear markings can be seen.
