During a PR shoot on Friday, January 16, the New England Central Railroad train #500 - affectionately known as the 'Chip Train' - has its pair of locomotives, SD40-2 3405 and GP38-2 2048 (ex-PC/CR/HLCX/NECR 6281 and ex-NECR 3848; ex-NECR/IC 9528 and originally GM&O 709) coupled ahead. The #501 yard crew is assisting and ready to cut the rear of the train away with Buffalo & Pittsburgh GP40 3000 (ex-CSXT 6600; ex-B&O 4025) at the NECR Italy Yard in St. Albans, Vermont.
