"If there is a road in your shot, there will be a car on it." Sage advice given to me by my dearly departed friend Gary Larimer in my formative years of becoming a serious photographer. I had well staked out my location, and have two friends lower in the cemetery (not 6 ft, thankfully) who went ballistic when this Honda CRV showed up right at the wrong time. With my brother being a firefighter (note the medallion in the lower right), I was drawn to this particular spot, and I'm always drawn to higher photo angles. I didn't do so bad, and really like this photo of the Buffalo & Pittsburgh's Petrolia local. We were out here this day because of news the INDSPEC plant in Petrolia would be closing, and the line's future was in doubt. Well, that, and I was on a work trip in Pittsburgh. Thankfully, other industries in the area are doing well, and BT-3 still continues to run across the classic trestle in Chicora. May a car not be in your shot (or may it, if you like cars in your photos).
