A westbound Canadian Pacific train detours on the Soo Line’s former Milwaukee Road main line between Chicago and the Twin Cities due to its own main line in Ontario blockaded by protesting First Nations. Even by this date of August 21, 1990, CP was still operating quite a few older open autoracks—the tri-level and bi-level cars on this train are loaded with new Ford trucks and automobiles. The bottom level of the tri-level contains five future police cars.
