When visiting the National Railway Equipment's facility in Silvis, bringing along a few tissues couldn't hurt! A collection of Santa Fe and Burlington Northern locomotives await their dates with the scrapper. Dozens of other locomotives await a future, whatever that may be. GP7 #3825 began life in 1952 with the ATSF and the next unit, GP10 #1402, started out as a Great Northern GP7 in 1951. Both had great careers (as I'm sure the others here did as well) that included years with the BNSF after the merger and one can point out that they probably still have more left in the tank.
