One of the iron trains that daily cross the Atacama area, going down a steep slope towards Empalme Norte and then take the railway branch to the CAP Los Colorados mining site. An EMD demonstrator locomotive leads the train, on a meter gauge track, GT46AC model with EMD corporative blue / grey livery - scheme, currently in the city of Vallenar, under the control of FERRONOR railway company for hauling iron trains between Los Colorados mine in north of Vallenar, and Guacolda port in city of Huasco.
