Remarks & Notes
The coal fired 2-8-2 "Mikado" 141 R # 568, built by Baldwin in 1945 for the french SNCF, owned by Sir Andrew Cook from the UK, operated by the association "141R568" in Vallorbe, is storming up the 2.1 % grade from Lausanne towards Puidoux-Chexbres, through the Bossière stop, with the 7 car train "Train vapeur au Pays des Trois-lacs". In the rear was Re 420 # 152 of the SBB for heating and as helper. The journey was from Vallorbe via Lausanne-Palézieux-Payerne-Kerzers-Neuchâtel-Yverdon-les-Bains-Lausanne LT (shunting yard) for switchback, then to Lausanne (switchback) and via Cossonay back to Vallorbe.
