On a gloomy morning in March, 1978, a Santa Fe eastbound thunders across the Lemon Street grade crossing with a manifest freight. The days, the grade crossing is gone, the signals have been relocated, the railroad is now BNSF Railway, the F45 diesel is no longer on the roster ... but there are more trains, both freight and passenger, on these tracks than there have been as long as I can remember, so it's not all bad!
