Santa Fe freights between Richmond and Stockton, California, were often very short because most of the cars were added (to eastbounds, or removed from westbounds) at Stockton's Mormon Yard. An example of this is a five-car eastbound, just hitting the Southern Pacific crossing, heading into Mormon Yard on March 7th, 1992, where more cars will be added. A pair of GE Dash 8-40B diesels, with 7417 on the point.
