On a very hazy summer day in August 1956 the air in the Susquehanna Valley hung heavy as Pennsy steam engines worked right alongside the exotic 1st generation diesels at the company town of Renovo on the Northern Region. Among the steam engines were the heavy-hauler 2-10-0's, PRR Class I1s, with a short tender used in yard work.
An attempt to put the best picture of engines that represent each of America's railroads. When a better picture of an engine/type is found, it will be added.
