On the occasion of the annual thank you trip for the patrons of the RAe TEE II # 1053 by SBB Historic, the timelessly elegant four-current multiple-unit train arrived at Lausanne station. From 1961 to 1974, this train passed this station on a regular basis, when used as TRANS EUROP EXPRESS "Cisalpin" between Paris and Milan. In 1961, four of this trains were built by SIG and MFO, a fifth train was added in 1967. Nowadays. the # 1053 is operational again in the classic red-cream paint scheme for SBB Historic, based in Olten.
