Remarks & Notes
Lots of Flared-Radiators

Creeping to a stop in San Luis Obispo is an eastbound Southern Pacific freight, heading down California's coast from the Bay Area to Los Angeles. On the point is SP GP40X 7200, built in February 1978 - but having lost its distinctive "elephant ears" by this September 6, 1981 date. Behind the flared-radiator GP40X are SP SD40T-2 8524, SD45 8984 and another SD45.
